Before you start
You need an EngageBay account and a BulkSMS account with credits.
With BulkSMS connected, you can:
- Send SMS from a contact's page, or to many contacts with bulk actions.
- Send SMS broadcasts to up to 30,000 contacts.
- Send SMS from workflows, and start workflows based on delivery status.
- Receive replies (two-way messaging) and filter contacts by their last SMS sent or received.
- Send long messages (up to 1,530 characters) and Unicode messages.
Create a BulkSMS API token
Log in to your BulkSMS account and go to Settings > Developers.
Click Create API Token and give it a name, for example EngageBay. Copy the Token ID and Token Secret. The secret is only shown once.
Turn on BulkSMS in EngageBay
In EngageBay, click your account avatar and go to Preferences > Gadgets.
Find BulkSMS, enable it, and enter your BulkSMS details when asked.
Send a test SMS to your own number from a contact's page.
Troubleshooting
Messages aren't sent: check the BulkSMS details in EngageBay, that contacts' numbers include a country code, and that your account has credits.
You can see every message and its delivery status under Sent Messages in BulkSMS.
