Before you start
You need a nopCommerce store and a BulkSMS account with credits.
This guide uses the BulkSMS SMS plugin by nopStation, a third-party plugin bought from the nopStation store. It needs the free Nop-Station Core plugin. Check the plugin supports your nopCommerce version before you buy it.
Install the plugins
In your nopCommerce admin, go to Configuration > Local plugins and click Upload plugin or theme. Upload the plugin zip from nopStation.
Install Nop-Station Core first, then the Nop-Station BulkSMS.com plugin.
Restart the application when asked, so the plugins are activated.
Connect your BulkSMS account
Go to NopStation > Plugins > BulkSMSSms > Configuration.
Tick to enable the plugin and enter your BulkSMS username and password.
Optionally, turn on phone number checks (by pattern or country dialling code) and choose whether to remove the leading 0 from local numbers. Then save.
Choose your messages
Open SMS templates. The plugin has 19 templates, including order, shipment and payment notifications for customers and admins.
Turn on the ones you want, edit the wording, and limit them to particular customer roles or stores if you need to.
Test it
Place a test order using your own mobile number. Each message the plugin sends is listed under Queued SMS, where you can open it to see its details.
All setup and ready to go!
