Why SMS-enable your software?

Text messages are a great way to get short and important information into the hands of your landlords and contractors. All your message sends and replies will be recorded in the system for a single view of all communications sent to a contact.

By automating sends, you will reduce manual processes, saving you valuable time and money. You can set up the system to trigger text messages to:

Send invoices and prompt payments

Confirm viewings and appointments

Manage contractors

Notify of any scheduled maintenance

Improve landlord relationships

And so much more...

Some things you should know before you get started:

  1. You will need to sign up for a BulkSMS account and send your login details to your SMEProfessional onboarding agent to complete this integration. If these credentials ever change, you will need to provide SMEProfessional with the new ones.
  2. If you'd like to test the platform, please chat to your SMEProfessional onboarding agent and they'll arrange test credits for your BulkSMS account.
  3. Although your BulkSMS account is free, you will need buy credit packages to send out your text messages. You can set up a ‘low credit notification’ in your BulkSMS account settings to make sure your credit balance never drops below a certain threshold.
  1. All BulkSMS accounts are set with a default Daily Quota limit of 1000 credits. This means you will not be able to use more than 1000 credits in a 24-hour period. You will need to let us know if you want this quota increased.
  2. By default, your text messages are sent from a pool of different mobile numbers. You can opt for a Dedicated Incoming Long number which means your messages will be sent via your unique number every time. When sending your first text, ask the recipient to save your number to their contacts so they can easily identify your future messages.
  3. Text messages can also be delivered straight into your email inbox. You can set this up in the Settings section of your BulkSMS account, under the tab ‘Replies’.
